    About Art Ferguson

    BIO

    Art Ferguson III

Born and raised in Rochester, Michigan.

Art now resides in St. Clair Shores, Michigan during the summer and St. Cloud, Florida in the winter months.

Full time fisherman since 1990. Art quit full time plumbing apprenticeship for the opportunity to start fishing BASSMaster Tournament Trail after qualifying for the 1990 "BASSMasters CLASSIC" (the most prestigious tournament in the World), through the B.A.S.S. Federation ranks.

During the Classic, Art was offered an opportunity to start working out of Roland Martins Marina on Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, Florida that winter and had been guiding during the winter months out of that marina since 1991.

After 15 years working in Clewiston, Art was out for a fresh new start:  For a better quality of life and because of the devestation of Hurricane Wilma that hit Okeechobee Art moved north to Central, Florida.

Now guiding in Orlando, Florida region. Hitting some of the hottest lakes in Central Florida including: Lake Toho/Kissimmee Chain of Lakes where the 2006 Bassmaster Classic was held. Also, Stickmarsh, Lake Walk'n Water, Butler Chain, Conway Chain, East Lake Toho and many other lakes. This is exciting to Art as he adjusts to the area.

Art also guides in Michigan in the Spring and Summer months. He thoroughly enjoys it and has had the pleasure of fishing with some great people! Amazingly, over 28 years of experience is behind him now becoming truly a smallmouth specialist. He has also in 2005, began Provider Tackle Company, making both smallmouth and largemouth lures.

He never thought he'd become a full time bass fishing guide, until he went broke trying to fish the trail (ouch). He qualified for 1991-92 Top 100 trail and didn't fair so well. Reality hit and it was time for a REAL job!

After a vigourous season fishing the 1998-99 Kmart Bassmaster Top 150 circuit, traveling over 20,000 miles and 10 weeks, he qualified for the 1999 "BASSMaster's CLASSIC".

Again in the 1999-2000 season he qualified for the 2000 "BASSMaster's CLASSIC", ranking 4th in points. He also had his first BASSMaster's Top 150 victory in May at Wheeler Lake, Decatur, AL.

In 2003, he did it again. Requalifying for the 2004 "BASSMaster's CLASSIC" which was held on Lake Wylie near Charlotte, NC. He qualified through the BASSMaster Northern Opens where he was blessed with another victory on Oneida Lake near Syracuse, NY.  During the 3 tournament season he had a 2nd and a 4th place finish. This gave him the Northern Open points leader title. He is very thankful for that accomplishment in his life. Recently, he has also made the FLW Championship in 2006, 2007, 2008 and now, 2009, 4 straight years!! In February 16, 1999, he dedicated his life to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior and has seen his life completely change for the better. Knowing that he knows that he knows JESUS! True answered prayers, Joy and Peace unspeakable!! Though not always perfect, He is with US!

Things that can only be called "supernatural" happening in his life. Now his biggest desire is to let people know what JESUS CHRIST can do for them!

    Hobbies:
Bible Study, Saltwater fishing, Travel, Golf, Computers, Golf, Music, NASCAR Racing

My lifelong passion for the outdoors has turned me into an avid fisherman. I have been very fortunate to grow up on one of the best lakes in the country. I am blessed to have a dad who taught me about the outdoors and introduced me to fishing as a child. God has given me this opportunity to pursue this dream and do what I love for a living. I have the best family support system. My parents have always been there for me to assure that I had the opportunities to do what I wanted for a living. I live in Benton, Ky with my wife Brittany, who is my best friend, and 100% behind the choices I make. We have two beautiful children, Brynn and Brady, who are our world. I can’t begin to thank my family enough for all their support.

I love to compete. The competition is what drives you as an angler. I am learning new things every day as each day on the water is different. Never take your time on the water for granted. Always remember the most important things in life are not things. Faith, Family, & Friends. Chase your dreams!

    God Bless,

    Brandon

    BIO

    Married: Holly

    Children: Brock

Education:BS-Agri-business, Arkansas Tech University 3.17 GPA

Biography: I was born and raised on a farm in NW Arkansas, close to Beaver Lake. There were three things that my life revolved around growing up on the farm: hard work, athletics, and the great outdoors. My father taught me at a very young age that the only way you can get what you want out of life is to work hard and be dedicated to what you have committed yourself to doing. I have tried to uphold these values throughout my life. In high school I was selected as an all-state player in both football and baseball. In college I earned the title as an all-conference defensive lineman.

Although I was involved in athletics my whole life, my true dream was to be a full-time professional fisherman. I knew once I graduated college I had to be successful at work in order to be able to afford to fish tournaments. I started with Tyson Foods, Inc. in May of 1993, 2 days following college graduation. I was promoted quickly through the management ranks and in April of 2000 I was promoted to the position of plant manager at the Randall Road processing facility. At 28, I was the youngest plant manager that Tyson Foods had at that time. During my last 6 years with Tyson Foods, Inc. I managed 500 employees in a fast-paced, highly-productive processing environment with a $31 million annual budget.

Through hard work, disciplined investing, and with the encouragement from an extremely supportive wife I left my job with Tyson Foods in February of 2006 to pursue my true dream and ultimate career goal of being a full-time professional fisherman. I have been truly blessed in life and I plan on carrying on these same values of hard work and dedication in my fishing career that have enabled me to be so successful in my previous endeavors.
